Writing Contests: Snag a publishing contract

Pull out your quill and enter some writing contestsMost writing contests grant the winners a wad of cash; this one grants you a publishing contract that could launch your career. Turquoise Morning Press is encouraging authors of all ranks — first time or experienced — to enter its speculative fiction contest in one of the following genres: science fiction, horror, fantasy, dystopian future, post-apocalyptic or alternative history. Works should be previously unpublished and novel length — around 65,000 to 120,000 words.You can enter up to two works, but they have to be formatted per Turquoise Morning Press’s specific guidelines (found here). Better work quickly as entries are due by May 27, 2014.Good luck!
