Writing Contests: 50+ Life Story Memoir Contest

If you were born before Dec. 31, 1964, you can enter The Huffington Post and AARP’s memoir contest. Winners could win $5,000 and have their work considered for publication by Simon & Schuster. Writing Contests: Creative Loafing Flash Fiction Contest

Finish your entry to some writing contests.Creative Loafing runs some great writing contests. The publication has announced it is accepting submissions for its second annual flash fiction contest. This year’s theme calls for coming-of-age stories based in Charlotte, NC.

Keep your story between 300 and 1,000 words and you could get publication in the newspaper along with the top prize of $200. Submissions are due by December 6, 2013.
