NC writing contests for short fiction

Enter writing contests to tell your storyThis is my second post for writing contests in North Carolina. The first was for the Doris Betts Fiction prize, and this one is sponsored by Thrive and The Randolph Writers.

Enter your clean (no vulgarity allowed) work of fiction (up to 1,500 words) before March 31, 2014, and you could win a monetary prize and membership to Randolph Writers. Six top writers will see their work published and illustrated in Thrive. Winners will be announced in June; all winners should be willing to travel to Asheboro to collect the prize.

This contest is open to central North Carolina residents only and there is a $10 entry fee. You can submit your work to randolphwriters.weebly.com.

You can find additional details here. Good luck!
