Writing Contests: This one’s for the South

Pull out your quill and enter some writing contestsSometimes a writing contest needs a little Southern charm. Writers who reside within 150 miles of Memphis are invited to submit their works to this year’s short story contest cosponsored by The Booksellers at Laurelwood and Burke’s Book Store and Memphis magazine.

Entries do not have to have a Southern or Memphis theme, but they should stay within the word count of 3,000 and 4,500 words. All entries should be submitted with a $10 entry fee, and should be entered before February 1, 2015.

For all the entry details visit Memphis magazine’s submission site.

Good luck!
