Writing Contests: They’re doing it in Texas

Finish your entry to some writing contests. For this writing contest, you don’t need to be a native of Texas. (But it might not hurt if you are one.) The Northeast Texas Writers Organization is sponsoring a short story contest (maximum of 2,500 words). You can pick the genre – as long as it is an engaging tale and follows the submission guidelines, it will be considered for one of three cash prizes.

The entry fee for submission is $10 and you can find submission information on the organization’s website netwo.org. You have some time on this one as the deadline for entries is October 18, 2014.

Good luck!
